The Lord gave me a vision 2 years ago that I would be using my skin disease to connect with other vulnerable populations. Little did I know that would be fulfilled before I even became a medical professional! On my trip to Haiti last week, almost every child we interacted with had either tinea capitis or scabies. The kids got a kick out of my psoriasis and instead of them feeling constantly examined by our medical team, the kids examined me! What a joy to share a tiny, tiny bit in their suffering. The Lord has so much more in store for the children of Haiti! (PS- I met our trip leader at the 2012 GMHC conference!)
