Bio

JPS Family Medicine Residency began as one of the first 3 year training programs for broad scope family medicine training almost 45 years ago. We are now the largest program in the US at one location and rank at or near the top of all family medicine programs in the world (US News and World Report). Our graduates fill critical roles in primary care and medical leadership in both rural and urban sites in Texas and around the globe. Many of our alumni currently serve in mission organizations in Asia, Africa, Central and South America and in the US as well. Strong affiliations exist with both UT Southwestern Medical School and UNT Health Science Center here in Ft Worth. Additional global affiliations exist with Suranaree University Institute of Medicine in Thailand as well as MONIKI, the family medicine training program in Moscow. A partnership with INMED allows for robust global health training and Diploma in International Health for our program participants.
