Founded in 1989, Esperanza Health Center is a community-based non-profit health center that provides affordable, quality, bilingual primary health services in Jesus’ name without regard for an individual’s ability to pay. In 2014, we served over 14,300 patients from our three health center sites in the low-income, predominantly Latino and African-American communities of North Philadelphia. Our staff of over 190 employees includes 29 bilingual primary care providers who specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, internal medicine/pediatrics, women's health and general dentistry. In addition to primary medical care, we seek to address our patients’ spiritual, psychological, and social health needs. We also seek to be a community health resource, and are committed to partnering with other organizations and churches through initiatives such as our Community Health Promoter program. In addition, we serve as a place of training and education for students in the health professions.
