In this role, you would manage oncology patients; train residents, interns, and medical students regarding facets of oncology, medicine, and spiritual care; oversee the development and expansion of the oncology program at Tenwek; coordinate the activity of an interdepartmental oncology team; oversee the work of the cancer registry; and assist with any research protocols related to oncology.
Ministry Description
Tenwek Hospital is a ministry of World Gospel Mission and Africa Gospel Church. The hospital, which started as a single-nurse dispensary in 1937, is now a 300-bed hospital and training center. In addition to being the area’s primary hospital, Tenwek serves as a referral hospital that receives patients from throughout the country. Tenwek is also a growing teaching hospital. Training programs include family practice, surgical residency, medical and clinical internships and student rotations, hospital chaplaincy, and nursing.
