Critical thinking is imperative in healthcare at all levels—from community health workers to specialty physicians--guiding clinical judgment and decision making. In many global settings, educational systems emphasize rote memorization, leading to healthcare workers unaccustomed to the clinical reasoning their positions demand. This session will draw on the presenters’ experiences teaching doctors in Africa as they demonstrate ways to guide learners to develop critical thinking skills
