Medical Work to a Missional Movement - God's faithfulness in rural North India

  • Breakout Session
  • Main Building ED 210/211/212 (Classroom)
  • November 14 2026 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

This session will explore how a healthcare initiative in a rural and backward part of India developed into a broadening missional movement touching upon aspects of incarnational presence and integral mission through stories of transformation and generational change that come from a practical implementation of the Great Commission. The session will attempt to draw up some paradigm principles from the experience of the missional movement in Madhepura, Bihar, India over the last 70 years of its existence that will provide practical guidelines into missionary work in a climate that is opposed to any public proclamation of the gospel. The session will also touch upon some of the pitfalls of modern missionary activity that we have experienced and attempt to offer solutions. Overall, the session, while based on the missional experience of Madhipura Christian Hospital will attempt to draw up a foundational basis for mission work through healthcare in the present day.
