Overview

The CMDA Continuing Medical & Dental Education (CMDA-CMDE) Conference XXXIV will be held at the Eretria Conference Center on Evia Island in Greece. It will be held from Monday, April 28 through Thursday, May 8, 2014. The Conference is primarily for physicians and dentists serving in agencies/institutions/clinics outside of North America.  Other health care professionals will be allowed to register on a space-available basis.  Families are welcome at this Conference and we will provide a children’s program.
 
The educational goal of the Conference is to provide state-of-the-art education on the latest advances in medicine and dentistry for healthcare professionals practicing in developing countries.  The schedule, CE hours/offerings, topics, etc. will be similar to the 2013 CMDE Conference:          

Approximately 100 hours consisting of lectures, breakout sessions and hands-on workshops.  

Credits for different specialties and certificate of attendance will be provided.         

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO), Helping Babies Breathe (HBB), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Hands-On Ultrasound Head-To-Toe, Diabetes and Hypertension Management and Orthopedic Casting and Splinting workshops will be provided in a “pre-conference” format.  Basic Life Support (BLS) will be conducted during the afternoon free time.

The primary mission of the CMDA Continuing Medical and Dental Education (CMDE) Commission (which runs this conference) is to provide continuing education in a compact, multiple track model enabling medical and dental professionals serving overseas to affordably earn AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM and Academy of General Dentistry Credit to assist in maintaining licensure in the US.
