I've done overseas missions, but the Lord once broke my axle the day before leaving across the border and I wondered where the Lord was guiding me. I had some connections to the local homeless missions and just settled for the easy, so I thought. Now, 30 years later, I have spent half my career helping as this mission frew from five employees and twenty volunteers to 120 employees at a dozen locations. Praying for wisdom, as we take on more and more challenges. We have moved from skid row to Boyle Heights and now, in Watts we are trying to coordinate with the Los Angeles Unified School District to serve in their poorest school, Grape Street Elementary. It's no easy challenge, yet the Lord has provided wonderful resources and guidance. Your prayers are coveted.
