I was recently in Ecuador at one of our THVs , and as I was standing by the road and taking photos two little girls came by on their way back from school. They reminded me of our sons when they were very young, always hanging out together- inseparable..... And made me wonder what their future would be in the village? Would they continue to study? Would they continue to be healthy? Would they be safe from abuse and danger? Would their parents be able to ' point them in the direction they should go'?... And I am grateful that that is what we are involved in. Enabling the community to be empowered to take care of all it's needs! Empowerment is progressive, permanent release to develop and grow to full potential.
