Ron Brown Biography
Ron was born to missionary parents who served on the Texas/ Mexico border and Honduras. He developed a burden for missionary kids and majored in biology, secondary education at Asbury College, completed a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling at Eastern Kentucky University and has done graduate study at Fuller Seminary’s School of World Mission in Pasadena, CA.
He and his wife Becky, of 41 years, have served ten years with Native Americans in Arizona, six years in Spain and six years doing recruitment for World Gospel Mission on the campus of Asbury College and Seminary. They have three married children, ages 38, 36, 34 and a daughter, Elizabeth, age 22. They also have five grandchildren.
Since joining Christian Medical & Dental Association (CMDA) in June 1999, Ron has assumed responsibility with the Global Health Outreach (GHO) department for team leader development, national partner liaison, especially in Latin America and office administration. This year Global Health Outreach, the short team medical mission department of CMDA, will sponsor about fifty 1-3 week trips to some 30 countries all over the world.
Teaching, administration, counseling, mentoring and recruiting have been Ron’s focus in ministry for nearly 40 years. Ron has traveled to 40 countries on mission trips with World Gospel Mission and GHO.
