The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) at the Wycliffe USA Orlando Clinic is a vital core operational role for Global Health Services. The APRN or PA provides direct patient care in the Orlando Clinic as well as support for Global Health Services through a variety of clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Some activities may include:
Perform patient assessments by medical history and physical exam, and develop an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the physician.
Maintenance of administrative pathways and case management for pre-field consultations.
Monitoring and triage of global clinical consultation requests.
Participation in the development of clinical protocols.
Act as liaison with other Wycliffe USA departments for wellness education.
Participation in leading the Orlando campus Emergency Medical Response Team (team development, training, AED administration).
Participation in the Global Health Personnel Community of Practice.
May have opportunities to participate in international field visits and medical evacuations.
Assist in logistical planning for Global Health Services meetings.
Partnership Development: Build and retain a team of prayer and financial partners that will sustain them during their entire Wycliffe ministry according to the Wycliffe Partnership Development policy.
Organizational Representative: Present the global ministry of Wycliffe and encourage interested individuals and churches to participate in this work. Maintain an exemplary standard of ethics and conduct that reflects biblical principles.
