Women and children in the Middle East make up our hospital’s primary patient group. For 60
years, the doctors and staff of Kanad Hospital have visited the homes of the people who come to
the hospital for care. Over the generations, the way in which this is done has varied, but it is a vital
part of our ministry and the way of earning trust in the community. In this breakout session, we will
share our stories and strategies of building strong relationships in this Muslim Middle Eastern
culture. Our medical professionals focus on showing the love and compassion of Jesus, having
listening ears and caring hearts that go deeper than the medical problem. Home visits, classes
targeting first time mothers, prayer and physical therapy sessions are just a few strategies utilized
to personalize relationships. These relationships are providing opportunities for light and truth to
be shared for the Kingdom.
