Meeting Overview

One million newborns die each year from respiratory distress. Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) is an evidence-based educational program to teach basic neonatal resuscitation techniques to healthcare professionals, who will in turn teach these skills for midwives and birth attendants in low-resource locations.

9:00-9:45 Maternal-Newborn Health Overview

Session 2
9:55-10:30 Newborn resuscitation basic skills and skills exams

Session 3
10:40-11:15 Newborn resuscitation advanced skills and skills exams
Ventilation techniques with bag and mask

Session 4
11:25-12:00 Teaching HBB in low-resource settings
