Honduras 2015 Missions was quite an experience for me. This was a year when our organization experienced all kinds of obstacles. We were going to visit La Ceiba, HN where we planned to approach the Diabetes situation in the community as well as personal hygiene. However, we had several missionaries drop out a week or two before the trip and just when we were getting discouraged, God reassured us of His plans for our trip. In 2014, we had almost 70 people serving with us in Lagos, Nigeria; this included local volunteers/medical professionals. In 2015, only 2 of us traveled to La Ceiba and we were privileged to serve with the awesome staff at Total Health Clinic.

Because of how small of a group this was, we had the privilege of adjusting our outreach plans and created more time for prayer. We educated the community on diabetes as well as personal hygiene for the children and adults in the community. We also assisted the clinic staff in seeing patients, checking vital signs which gave us great opportunities to interact with the patients and find out what the reason for their visit was. God showed Himself in miraculous ways as there were prophesies, words of knowledge; we saw the people of La Ceiba experience God's peace and overwhelming love as we prayed with and laid hands on them. We got to draw closer in a way that we could not have achieved by focusing mostly on the business of healthcare. God was real in our Honduras 2015 Missions.
