From Dr. Dave Alexander, Hospital Loma De Luz, Balfate, Honduras
The call to missions has been on our hearts for over 17 years. While finishing out our service to the U S Army, we began looking for a mission hospital in order to serve long term. We sought a place that would share the Gospel effectively and pursue excellence in medical care. Through much prayer and the help of Samaritans Purse, we were led to just such a place in Honduras.
A visit in the spring of 2011 to Hospital Loma De Luz confirmed our calling and we began the process of transitioning to full time missions. My wife, our four children and I arrived in the fall of 2014. We have served here for a year now and have found the sign on the gate of the Hospital to be true in more ways than we could have ever imagined, for truly "Dios obra aqui".... "God is at work here".
