In June of 2015, we went to Rwanda to teach three different groups (religiously, ethnically, culturally) basic first aid, health and hygiene, resuscitation of the newborn, and cord care along with CHE spiritual lessons. The three groups were very reluctant to work together, and we worked to sit one of each group at each teaching table. By the end of the training the change in the camaraderie between the groups was amazing. Only God could have brought that amount of change so quickly. I have been on many mission trips and never has one touched me so much. I also loved that students from our 2014 teaching were brought in to be teachers at each table. We hope to someday turn this training over to our well-trained student/teachers. Sustainability and replication is a major goal. SDG
