Safe Water International Ministries is working in Nepal. We are working in conjunction with the local hospital, Dr Imamura Memorial Hospital and Research Center (IMHARC) and the Nepal Cancer Foundation to manufacture and distribute chlorine. Following is an update letter from Dr. Purnima Gurung.
Dear Amy,
Thank you so much for your kind support for the people of Nepal...especially in this time of direst need. May God Bless you all.
Dr Iwamura Memorial Hospital And Research Center (IMHARC) did not suffer much physical infrastructure wise except that we lost all our laundry part and some cracks over college buildings. We also lost our incinerator which is quite expensive to have another one.
As of our job to work for the earthquake victims we are doing our best to carry our work. We had 170 people coming in the same day that first earthquake hit and all were injured broken limbs and head injury etc and among them there were 19 deaths followed by 190 patients the very second day with 15 deaths. Every day we are having so many people coming in the range of 50-100 all with broken limbs and some are with psychological problems as they have lost their homes and their family members.
We are still reaching out to people and visiting their homes in Kathmandu valley and we have more than 1100 youths who are now in the remotest areas of Nepal making their shelter with local available resources.
Now we are partnered with Safe Water International Ministries (SWIM) , USA and reaching out to the people with chlorine production and distribution; for this please contact Mr Richard Grant , I have spoken to him about you and Kathy and International Aid and CCIH.
I am so thankful to my Lord that HE has provided me with people like you who are Angels of GOD to deliver Nepal into a safe heaven.
Frankly speaking Amy ! we do not have any funding for any local transportation even ; I was asking Richard for some support for the local transportation that we are receiving medicine supplies from AmreiCares , USA.
Let God supply our needs because we trust in HIM. If He can let me meet you God's people , I am sure He will do everything in our behalf. He is a miracles doing GOD.
