After a short term mission trip to Moscow, Russia working with Dr. Bill Becknell 19 years ago, working in a Pediatric Research hospital where Dr. Becknell had his offices for Agape Medical Mission, my husband and I were impacted to pray about returning full time. We had no peace till we said "yes God we will go back". I believe remembering the faces of those little children had a lot to do with it.
We gathered together a prayer committee consisting of family and the short term team we had gone with. We prayed about a number of things that God would have to tell us what to do about our house, jobs, son in high school, dog and more. One by one God answered our prayers. It took 2 1/2 years, but God did take us to Russia and we stayed for five years.
I have also been back a number of times on other short term trips. I would love to go back again short term, but am asking God to heal me from some health issues that keep me from it.
God is so good and continues to allow me to work with Agape in the area of helping them get supplies that they need.
