Philippians 2:14-16 says, "Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life."

That’s exactly what we do at mPower Approach; we hold out the Word of life. It’s
not about dental, medical, or vision care. It’s not about the satisfaction of helping others. It’s not about the adventure of travel. The Message Bible says it this way, “carry the light giving message into the dark.” So that’s what we do. We go into the dark places in hard to reach areas across the globe and we hold out the Word of life.

We began the year training over forty students in Ghana. These men and women were trained in either extractions, dental hygiene, vision testing or sewing. These indigenous believers are now well equipped to share the gospel in their communities and beyond using these newly acquired skills.
More recently, we were in Nigeria. A team of mPower Approach dentists trained a dozen evangelists to extract teeth. In one of the darkest areas of the world, where the gospel is strongly opposed, these trainees are not only relieving temporary physical pain, but sharing the life giving message that frees from eternal damnation.

Next week we have a team going to Myanmar. This country just experienced a 6.8 magnitude earthquake. We are still waiting to hear from our in country partner. Join us as we pray for the people in Myanmar. Yet another reminder of the urgency to hold out the Word of life.

The end of September we are sending a large team to Rwanda. This will be our second trip where we have the honor of training several members of the pygmy population. These fellow believers truly are the outcasts of society. Teaching them these valuable skills provides them with an opportunity to help support their families and their local church.

Offering them the Message of life. It’s what we do at mPower Approach. How can you be a part of this? Pray. Give. Go with us.
