God changed my heart toward the nation of Ghana while I visited one of my sponsor son's named Emmanuel on a Compassion sponsor tour. While on this trip, I had the opportunity to meet my sponsor son, visit with the staff and children at a number of Compassion centers and see first hand the impact, child sponsorship has on the recipients. I began working with the Ghana Initiative soon after I returned from Ghana while the Lord was still stirring up my heart and opening doors for me to do more than just sponsor. I soon was asked to take the position of Administrative Director of GI and have been there ever since.
The Ghana Initiative is in immediate need of 2 nurses and one volunteer to join the April 3-13, 2015 team to Ghana.
We are currently accepting applications from those interested in serving the poor and needy people in the rural community of Pokrom Nsabaa. Please pray that God will send the right people to fill the needed positions and that the work we have been doing in Ghana will continue to bring healing to lives and lives to Christ!
We provide FREE medical care to anyone who has a need. All services are provided by volunteers with a heart for the people of Ghana, Africa. Perhaps the Lord has been putting Ghana on your heart.
